Welcome to My Shoe

This was written for those days when I really do feel like the Woman in the Shoe!

*****

Welcome to my shoe!

Come in and have some tea.

I’m happy that you’re here,

Adults, I seldom see.

*****

Yes, many children live here,

It keeps me busy all day.

I lost count last time I tried,

And another’s on the way.

*****

My shoe is very messy,

There are drawings on the walls.

Splatters over the floors;

I just can’t keep up at all.

*****

I could take up spanking,

But my arm would soon be tired.

I find it so much easier

To let them all run wild.

*****

There are days that I envy

Families with two or three,

Even childless couples

Sometimes appeal to me.

*****

But my life is a choice I made,

And I’m happy with what I do.

So come have some tea with me,

And welcome to my shoe!

*****

Thank you Sarah! Cookies and tea headed your way!

I wrote this one shortly after I found out I was pregnant yet again. Laughing at myself helped me deal a bit!

Hey! I have a blended family with stepkids, so I can relate. Sometimes I need a shot of bourbon in my tea, if you have any.

Bourbon you say? Now that’s a sanity saver I’ve never tried. I may have to go buy some, just for you of course… ;-)

Thanks for the visit, and you are welcome back to My Shoe whenever you like. The tea (and bourbon) is always on!

I subscribed to you and added you to my blogroll. Hope to get to know you better.

That is very sweet of you! Please don’t be turned off if the site doesn’t change much in the coming weeks. I suggest you read through Life News and the dated links below it if you wish to know more. :-)

I tried to go to your site but each time I click on your link I just get sent to the WordPress page. I’ll try again later, hopefully it is a short lived glitch!

I could read this one until I’ve learnt it by heart. Love it (as mentioned before). Really have to make an effort to look at your other treasures…… until then, be well, and thanks for all your support so far. SP

Thank you Sp! I’ve been enjoying your site as well!
